- used $4 ECB (from the 2 Crest purchases)
CVS: Total Out Of Pocket (OOP) = $0.39 ($0.45 tax)
- paid $0.84 from CVS gift card (they gave it to me when I returned 2 items) so my OOP was actually $0.

TIP: I actually purchased these in 2 transactions since I wanted the $2 ECB to come out separately. If you purchased them in 1 transaction, they actually combine the ECB into 1, so it would be one $4 ECB. I wanted 2 - $2 ECB because smaller denominations are easier to use for small purchases.

TIP #2: If you don't use up all your ECB (let's say your purchase was $1.99 but your ECB is for $2), don't let the cashier bully you into buying another item in order for the ECB to go through. They can adjust your ECB to $1.99, so you lose out on $0.01 of your ECB. I've had uninformed cashiers tell me I have to buy something else so that I can use my ECB, which is NOT true. Tell them to adjust the ECB down. Don't be bullied by the cashier.
